Not a Cloud in the Sky is explores the corollaries and departures between longstanding natural ecological systems and and the particular language, costs and power of cloud computing, big data and AI. The prints are archival pigment prints on German cotton rag paper with pearlescent acrylic paint. Imagery of clouds and nature from street view mapping software around data centers powering cloud computing, the world wide web and AI software.
Each image is overprinted with a unique monoprint made outdoors with non-toxic ink directly from abandoned spiderwebs. Some prints include hand-stitching or pastel accents. Prints are sealed with UV lacquer.
