Etherton Gallery (Booth 211)
 
 
Etherton Gallery will be showing the work of renowned American photographer Joel-Peter Witkin. Using an exquisite mix of models, elaborate backdrops, wit, and wisdom, Witkin mines art history, sexuality, mythology, and the contemporaryclimate beforehe claws and collages his way to a final print that brings us to what he calls "the two great mysteries: God and beauty." Witkin's work is collectedin numerous private collections and public institutions including the Museum of Modern Art; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the J. Paul Getty Museum.
 
The gallery will host a book-signing with the artist  from 1pm - 4pm, Saturday, October 3rd in Booth 211. 
 
 
 
Charles A. Hartman Fine Art is excited to present Wildlife, the newest body of workby Portland-based artist Corey Arnold. Even as a child, Arnold had a fascination with the wilderness and animals that bordered on the obsessive.Wildlife depicts Arnold's absorption and enchantment in images that are at once beautiful and compelling. Like his previous work, these new pictures combine technical mastery with a unique perspective. These gorgeous photographs transfix the viewer with their earnestness and charm.
 
 
Kopeikin Gallery (Booth 107)
 
 
Kopeikin Gallery will be exhibiting work by Cig Harvey, Tintypes of baseball by Tabitha Soren (who will also be lecturing at the Houston Center of Photography during the fair) Katrin Korfmann's two newest images, a wall of Kahn and Selesnicks, ceramics by Sandi Fellman, an art bench by Danny First, and some interesting new work by an artist named Alexandra Eldridge.
