Vivian Maier in The New York Times and on This American Life

Yesterday's Lens section of The New York Times featured an article on the newly released book, Vivian Maier: Out of the Shadows, available now at the Catherine Couturier Gallery for $60.

Vivian Maier: Out of the Shadows

"The Still Unfolding Legend of Vivian Maier: An Outsider's Life in Pictures and Boxes" explores the mystery of the photographer with an excerpt of Richard Cahan and Michael Williams text and examples of Maier's own work, many of which were featured in the inaugural exhibition of our 2012-2013 season.

May of this year, NPR tentpole This American Life took its show off the radio waves and into movie theaters nation-wide with Invisible Made Visible, a one-time-only live theatrical event.  Taking advantage of the visual format, host Ira Glass spent part of the show delving into the story of the nanny turned photographer.
